McDermott & Son Roofing's Home Page

To start out, let me tell you a little bit about our company's history.  My grandfather started out farming and running a small construction company.   His company dealt in the construction of buildings.  This was when his experience in roofing developed.  One of the many projects done at this time was the original KJAN radio station building.  Then in 1935 he opened McDermott & Son Roofing.  In 1950 my father, Dwane D. Bramer bought out the company and continued the family business.  It was in 1956 that I began helping out.  I worked during my breaks from school carrying 1/2 buckets of tar until I graduated up to full buckets.   The first job I helped complete was a cleaner's building in downtown Atlantic, which is now occupied by Safeguard Business Systems.

In 1984, I followed in my father's footsteps and became the third generation owner of McDermott & Son Roofing.   Today, McDermott & Son Roofing uses only premier roofing systems.  We are an authorized dealer and contractor of Duro-Last Roofing Systems.  Please take a moment and look around our site.  If you have any questions or roofing needs, please email us at mcroof@a-m-u.net.
